This section explains how Giving Tree handles data accessed through our QuickBooks® Online (Intuit®) integration in our internal Giving Tree CRM application. Effective June 8, 2026.

Our CRM is a private, internal business application used only by Giving Tree’s own authorized personnel to run our government-contracting operations. It is not offered to, marketed to, or used by the general public.

With a Giving Tree administrator’s authorization, our CRM connects to our own QuickBooks Online company via Intuit’s OAuth 2.0 authorization. Through that connection the application may:

• read the current balance of our bank accounts;
• read our open invoices and bills, and their paid/partial status;
• create invoices and bills in QuickBooks from records entered in the CRM; and
• read customer, vendor, account, and project (sub-customer) records needed to map those documents correctly.

We access this data only for our own internal accounting, reconciliation, and cash-flow purposes. We do not use Intuit or QuickBooks data for any purpose other than those described here, we do not sell or rent it, and we do not share it with third parties for their own use.

Access tokens are stored securely and are used only to communicate with Intuit’s API over encrypted connections. A Giving Tree administrator can disconnect the QuickBooks connection at any time from within the application, and can also revoke access from the Intuit account dashboard; after disconnection the application stops accessing QuickBooks data.
